- How do I calculate a percentage of a number?
- Multiply the number by the percent and divide by 100. 18% of $64 is (64 × 18) ÷ 100 = $11.52.
- How do I calculate percentage change?
- Subtract the old value from the new, divide by the old, multiply by 100. From 105 to 127 = +20.95%.
- What's the difference between percent and percentage point?
- A percent is a ratio. A percentage point is a difference between two percents. Going from 5% to 8% is a 3 percentage-point increase, but a 60% relative increase.
